Ingredients

  • 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine or butter
  • 1 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Beat margarine or butter and sugar until creamy.
  • Add eggs, vanilla and milk.
  • Beat well.
  • Stir in oatmeal, chocolate chips, flour and nuts along with soda and baking powder. Bake 10 to 12 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Cool completely.
