Ingredients

  • 3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 5 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. quick oats, uncooked
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1 large egg

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  • Stir in oats.
  • Combine milk, honey and egg; stir into dry ingredients. Spread mixture into prepared pan.
  • Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Wrap in plastic wrap.
  • Makes one loaf.
