Ingredients
- 1 gal. green tomatoes, sliced (not peeled)
- 1 pt. onions, cut up
- 5 bell peppers, chopped
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. cloves
- vinegar
Method
- Slice tomatoes;
- put
- in layers with onion and peppers. Sprinkle with salt; let stand 1 hour.
- Add spices.
- Cover with vinegar and cook until tender.
- Pack in jars and seal.
