Ingredients
- 1 cup rice Uncle Bens, washed & well drained
- 2 butter table spoons
- 1/2 tea spoon all spice
- 1/4 tea spoon fresh ground pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth you can substitute for water for
- 1/2 almonds
- salt to test
- 1/2 tea spoon of paprika for garnish
- fresh basil for garnish
Method
- On a medium heat add butter then the rice mix and cook about 5 minutes
- Add Pease, all spice & salt
- Cook for about 2 minutes
- Add chicken broth (or water)
- Let it cook for 20 minutes on low heat and covered pan
- In small pan roast the almond adding a little butter & salt, set aside.
