Ingredients
- 4 c. flour (plain)
- 1 lb. raisins
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 lb. pecans (2 qt.)
- 6 eggs
- 3/4 lb. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. wine or juice
- 3 tsp. spice (nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves; 1 each)
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 tsp. soda
Method
- Dissolve teaspoon soda in molasses.
- Mix flour, raisins and pecans.
- Beat eggs, butter and sugar.
- Add wine and spices and add to flour mixture and molasses mixture.
- Bake 4 hours at 250°.
