Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 12 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 cups pecans or 1 12 cups walnuts, chopped

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add salt, almond extract, flour, and nuts.
  • Mix well.
  • Chill dough until firm enough to handle.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
  • While cookies are still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
