Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 1/2 c. onions, diced
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 c. clams
- 3 c. clam juice
- 2 c. half and half
- 1/2 lb. potatoes, diced
Method
- Saute onions in butter.
- Add flour and cook 2 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Cook potatoes.
- Set aside.
- Bring clam juice to boil.
- Add hot clam juice to flour mixture.
- Stir until smooth.
- Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat.
- Add clams, potatoes and half and half. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
- You can also add shrimp and scallops to recipe.
