- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs, rolled fine
- 1 egg
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 c. cream or evaporated milk
- 1 lb. ground pork (not sausage)
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs, rolled fine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
Method
- Mix all well.
- Brown slightly in fat.
- Add 1/2 cup or more water.
- Cover tightly and simmer about 1 hour, until tender.
- Or, bake in oven for 1 hour at 300°.
- Makes 15 meatballs.
