Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Break eggs into bowl; add milk, flour and salt.
  • Mix well with spoon, disregarding lumps.
  • Fill well-greased Pyrex custard cups 3/4 full.
  • Place in a cold oven.
  • Set control at 450° and turn on heat.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Don't dare peek!
  • After the 30 minutes baking time, open oven and pop into a bread basket.
  • Serve with tons of butter.
  • Then sit back and try not to look smug! Yields 8 popovers.
