Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 slices bread, cubed
Method
- Beat eggs and milk together.
- Sift dry ingredients together. Add to egg mixture and work thoroughly.
- Add bread cubes.
- Form into 2 dumplings.
- Let rise 1 hour (they don't get very big).
- Put into boiling water (use large pot).
- Boil for 10 minutes.
- Do not lift lid.
- Turn over and boil 10 more minutes.
- Keep pot covered. When finished, cut with string.
- Great with gravy.
