Ingredients
- 3/4 c. peanut butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Heat oven to 375°.
- Combine peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
- Beat until well blended. Add egg.
- Beat until blended.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
- Add to creamed mixture at low speed.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Flatten slightly with a fork.
- Bake at 375° for 7 to 8 minutes or until beginning to brown.
- Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before taking off sheet.
- Makes 3 dozen cookies.
