Ingredients
- 3 c. plain flour (approximately)
- 3/4 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. salt
- broth (from hen)
Method
- Boil hen to make good rich broth.
- Mix ingredients together and work it together until it can be rolled out thin.
- Cut dough into small pieces (approximately 1 1/2 x 2-inches).
- Have broth in a rolling boil and drop dumplings in broth, one at a time, shaking boiler frequently; do not stir.
- If broth is hot enough dumplings should be done in 4 or 5 minutes.
- Put deboned chicken pieces in broth before adding dumplings to broth.
- This will feed family of 6 to 8.
