- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms (whole)
- margarine
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 bouillon cubes
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 pt. light cream
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Method
- Saute mushrooms in margarine.
- In separate pot, heat and dissolve bouillon cubes in water and set aside.
- Melt 1/2 stick margarine and sprinkle flour over.
- Add cream to butter/flour mixture.
- Add bouillon mix to this and add mushrooms.
- Place everything in buttered casserole (large enough to leave mushrooms in a single layer).
- Top with mixture of bread crumbs and cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Can do ahead.
- Serves 6. To double recipe, just double mushrooms.
