Ingredients
- 1 cup brown rice rinsed & drained
- 1 cup quinoa rinsed & drained
- 1 cup wheat berries
- 1 cup oats, steel-cut
- 11 cups water
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 each apples peeled, cored & diced
Method
- All everything to a greased, large size slow cooker.
- Cook on low overnight (about 6 hours was enough for me); or on high for 4 hours.
- The original recipe suggests adding additional dried fruits, like raisins or cranberries in the last hour before serving.
- I topped mine with some maple syrup sometimes jam or preserves that I have, whatever is handy works well.
