Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 c. nuts
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. marshmallows
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs.
- Sift flour and cocoa; add and mix well.
- Add nuts and vanilla and pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake 55 minutes at 300°.
- When done, remove from oven and cover with marshmallows.
- Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer.
- Let cool before icing.
