Ingredients
- pinto beans, cooked
- cornbread
- onions
- pepper (hot)
Method
- On any Tuesday or Thursday, call Robert Robinson around 11:00 a.m. and say "Beans".
- Be prepared to leave in 15 minutes.
- Go to Moore's Drugstore and order pinto beans with not too much juice and not too many beans so as to leave room for cornbread, onions and pepper relish.
- Either chop Robert's homemade peppers or use Buddy and Dean Travis' hot pepper relish.
- (Not for those who don't like it hot.)
- Place peppers, onion and 1/2 piece of cornbread, crumbled, into pintos.
- Stir slightly.
- Best if eaten with an egg-olive sandwich, no slaw and lots of cold sweet tea with plenty of good friends.
