Ingredients

  • 16 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon, rounded
  • 1 c. honey
  • 2 c. crushed bran flakes or more
  • 3 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Combine oatmeal, brown sugar and cinnamon in very, very large stainless
  • steel
  • bowl.
  • Add
  • the bran flakes, honey and vanilla. If
  • using
  • regular
  • oatmeal, sprinkle 1 cup of water all over the mixture.
  • Stir well before baking.
  • Bake at a low heat for 1 hour, stirring thoroughly every 15 minutes.
  • If not using stainless steel bowl,
  • pour
  • into
  • baking
  • pan before baking!
