Ingredients

  • 4 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (28 oz.) bottle ketchup
  • 3 tsp. mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1/4 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 c. water
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • In a large frying pan, brown the ground beef; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a separate pan, saute onion in butter to make a sauce.
  • When onion is soft, turn off burner.
  • Drain any grease off the meat.
  • Put meat back in a large pan.
  • Pour sauteed onion over meat.
  • Mix in the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Serve with choice of bread or bun.
