Ingredients
- 3/4 c. soft margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. dark molasses
- 2 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sugar for coating before baking
Method
- Cream margarine, egg, molasses and sugar together.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonful into sugar, coating all sides.
- Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes until crackled and golden brown.
- Makes 3 dozen 2-inch cookies.
