- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 12 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
- 6 tablespoons buttermilk
- 13 teaspoon baking soda
- 34 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 5 cups powdered sugar
- 14 cup baking cocoa
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 13 cup brewed coffee
Method
- combine all ingredients in order listed -- mix well.
- drop by tblsful onto ungreased baking sheets, bake at 350* for 10 minutes.
- cool on wire rck.

- makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
- to prepare COFFEE FROSTING:.
- combine the first 3 ingredients, gradually blend in coffee until desired spreading consistency -- is reached.
