Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound boneless lamb (leg or possibly loin)
  • 1/2 pound pork (tenderloin cubed)
  • 2 sm. onions, sliced
  • 2 green or possibly red peppers (or possibly 1 of each), cut into sq.
  • 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil or possibly salad oil
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon grnd pepper
  • Ginger
  • Tomato barbecue sauce (3/4 c. tomato catsup, 3 tbsp. brown sugar, 2 tbsp. soya sauce)

Method

  • Cut one c. of meat into 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch cubes.
  • Alternate meats with slices of onion and cubes of red and green peppers on skewers.
  • Mix oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper together.
  • Pour over meat.
  • Marinade 1 to 2 hrs turning once or possibly twice.
  • Prepare ginger tomato barbecue sauce.
  • Grill loaded skewers over warm coals, or possibly under broiler for 6 to 8 min per side or possibly till done to your liking.
  • Brush with barbecue sauce.
  • Serve immediately.
