Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. bacon
  • 4 large onions, diced
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 cans butter beans, drained
  • 2 cans green lima beans, drained
  • 1 can red beans
  • 1 can pork and beans

Method

  • Brown bacon; crumble and set aside.
  • In bacon drippings, saute diced onions; drain off fat.
  • Add dry mustard, salt, garlic powder, vinegar, brown sugar and molasses.
  • Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
  • Add all the drained beans.
  • Bake for 2 hours at 250° or in a crock-pot for 4 to 5 hours until thick.
