Ingredients
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. pecans
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Combine all ingredients, except soda, in 4 to 5-quart microwave dish.
- Cook on High for 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes.
- Stir in the teaspoon of baking soda until mixture becomes foamy.
- Continue cooking for 1 minute.
- This creates the brown color.
- Beat until mixture becomes tacky (about 1 minute). Drop by spoonfuls onto foil.
