Ingredients
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. raw Spanish peanuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Stir together sugar, corn syrup and peanuts in 2-quart bowl. Cook for 4 minutes on high.
- Stir well. Cook for 4 minutes longer. Add butter and vanilla.
- Stir well.
- Cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Watch carefully as it will scorch if overcooked.
- Add baking soda and stir until light and foamy.
- Pour at once into buttered cookie sheet. Cool at least 30 minutes.
