Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 c. tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. steak sauce
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 5 oz. pkg. elbow macaroni
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can grated cheese

Method

  • Brown onion and beef in shortening in skillet.
  • Add tomatoes, ketchup, steak sauce, pepper and parsley.
  • Simmer 30 minutes.
  • Cook macaroni.
  • Mix macaroni with beef in baking dish.
  • Season to taste. Gently spoon soup into mixture.
  • Mix lightly and sprinkle grated cheese over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
