Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. peanuts
Method
- In microwave-safe bowl, combine sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on High 4 minutes; stir.
- Add nuts and blend well. Microwave on High 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes or until mixture is light brown.
- Stir in vanilla and butter.
- Microwave 1 minute.
- Add baking soda and stir quickly to blend.
- Pour immediately onto buttered, foil lined cookie sheet, spreading quickly with wooden spoon.
- Cool for 30 minutes.
- Break apart.
- Store in airtight container.
