Ingredients

  • 4 medium onions, thinly sliced and separated into rings (2 c.)
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. plain croutons
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese

Method

  • In 2-quart casserole, cook onions in margarine on High 8 to 10 minutes or until onions are very tender, stirring once.
  • Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
  • Cook, covered, on High about 8 minutes.
  • Spoon into bowls.
  • Top each serving with croutons and cheese.
