Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp. chili pepper
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • tortillas

Method

  • Brown hamburger with onion; drain well.
  • Add soups, seasonings and green chilies.
  • Layer into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Start bottom layer with tortillas, layer of hamburger mixture and continue to layer with tortillas, ending with tortillas as last layer.
  • Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350°
  • for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • For extra zip, add some picante sauce.
