Ingredients
- 4 artichokes (adjust recipe for servings needed)
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 yellow onion, minced
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. hot chili sauce
- cilantro, chopped (Chinese parsley)
- 2 c. rice (cook so you have 4 c. cooked rice)
Method
- Artichokes:
- Cut off stems at bottom of artichoke, then cut off top stems.
- Use
- scissors
- to
- cut off sharp points of remaining
- leaves. (I
- pull
- off the
- tough,
- bottom
- row). Submerge artichokes in
- water in a large saucepan and boil for 40 minutes.
- (You
- can
- also microwave them, check your oven's cookbook.) They are done when a leaf can be pulled off easily. Drain upside down and cool.
