- 4 lb. ground meat
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 4 c. raw rice
- 5 c. water
- 1 large head cabbage, shredded
- 1 large can whole tomatoes
- season to taste
- 2 cans Ro-Tel tomatoes
Method
- Season meat well; brown with onions, bell peppers and celery. Add tomatoes, sauce, rice and shredded cabbage.
- Put extra seasoning because rice and cabbage will absorb seasoning.
- Add the 5 cups water; cook, covered, on low heat until cabbage and rice are done.
- Serves about 10.
