Ingredients

  • 4 lb. ground meat
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 4 c. raw rice
  • 5 c. water
  • 1 large head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • season to taste
  • 2 cans Ro-Tel tomatoes

Method

  • Season meat well; brown with onions, bell peppers and celery. Add tomatoes, sauce, rice and shredded cabbage.
  • Put extra seasoning because rice and cabbage will absorb seasoning.
  • Add the 5 cups water; cook, covered, on low heat until cabbage and rice are done.
  • Serves about 10.
