Ingredients
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. sugar (total)
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- flavoring as desired
- 3 egg whites
Method
- Combine water, cornstarch, 2 tablespoons sugar and salt.
- Cook on low heat, stirring until clear and thick.
- Cool.
- Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually adding remainder or sugar.
- Add cooled, cooked mixture, a spoonful at a time, while continuing to beat.
- Add desired flavoring.
