Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 pound green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 pound baby gold potatoes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- Water
Method
- Heat butter and oil over high heat. Add green beans and sear for 2 minutes. Add potatoes and sear for 2 minutes longer. Season with salt and pepper. Add garlic and cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add water up to 3/4 way. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, depending on how soft you want the beans. Serves 4.
