Ingredients
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Beef Or Turkey
- 28 ounces, weight Can Whole Tomatoes, Chopped (reserve Juice)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1- 1/4 cup Instant White Or Brown Rice
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Black Beans, Drained And Rinsed
Method
- Brown ground beef or turkey in skillet.
- Drain fat and return meat to skillet.
- Add tomatoes, tomato juice (add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups total), onion powder, and chili powder.
- Mix well and bring to a boil.
- Add rice, cover, and reduce heat to simmer.
- Simmer for 5 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Add black beans and heat through.
