Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. ground veal
  • 3 c. bread crumbs, grated
  • 1/4 c. grated onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • dash of salt
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt

Method

  • Combine beef and veal, egg and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix well.
  • Pat into rectangular shape. Mix bread crumbs, onion, celery, parsley, dash of salt, raisins, sage and milk.
  • Spread over meat.
  • Roll as you would a jelly roll. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
