Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 6 saltines, crushed
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Method

  • Toss all ingredients together, mixing lightly, but thoroughly. Spoon mixture evenly into 1-quart utility dish.
  • Do not pack. Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes on level #7.
  • Use sol-cook setting on rr-7d.
  • Make a sauce with ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire; pour over loaf and bake for 5 minutes before slicing.
