Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- pinch of salt
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 small c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Method
- Beat egg slightly.
- Add mashed potatoes, salt, milk, flour and baking powder.
- Make mixture stiff so it drops off spoon into a deep fryer set at 375°.
- If not crowded in fryer, they should turn themselves; if not, turn.
- Cook until golden brown (check inside one to make sure it's cooked).
- Serve hot.
- Delicious if you sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
- We like to dip them in ketchup as we eat them.
