Ingredients
- 2 (10 oz.) cans tomato puree
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. fresh white bread cubes
- 1 c. melted butter, poured over bread cubes
Method
- For 10 minutes, boil the tomato puree, boiling water, brown sugar and salt.
- Pour over the buttered bread cubes, in a buttered casserole.
- Bake, covered, for 30 to 40 minutes in a 350° oven in the casserole.
- Serves 6 to 8.
