Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. lean hamburger
  • 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 2 eggs
  • pepper and salt
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • large chopped onion
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • enough bread crumbs or cracker crumbs to thicken
  • may also add rice, celery or hot sauce

Method

  • Shape into loaf and place in well-greased pan.
  • Place sliced carrots around meat.
  • Cover and cook 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°. Add sliced or quartered potatoes and cover.
  • Bake 30 more minutes or until potatoes are done.
  • Remove cover and brown, approximately 10 minutes.
