Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. rice, uncooked
- salt and pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. bacon grease
- 1 whole cabbage
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 can water
Method
- Make meat balls from the first five ingredients.
- Boil a whole cabbage for 5 minutes.
- Take whole leaves and wrap meat balls in them.
- Chop up remaining cabbage in small pieces and place on bottom of pan.
- Lay meat balls wrapped in leaves on top.
- Pour chopped tomatoes on top and add water.
- Let simmer about 45 minutes.
