Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Method
- Place oil in saucepan.
- Saute onions until transparent.
- Add tomato sauce, garlic powder, sugar, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle Parmesan, if desired.
