Ingredients
- 3 lb. white flour
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3/4 to 1 c. shortening
- 4 c. warm water
Method
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Cut shortening into mix.
- Add water slowly; pour a little, then stir, pour, then stir.
- Sprinkle in more flour if too sticky.
- You need to have consistency of bread dough.
- Knead 5 minutes.
- Pinch off a large ball.
- Form into large, round biscuit size mound 1/2-inch thick and 2-inches around.
- Continue to make rounds until all dough is used.
- Roll each to form flat pancake.
