Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast

Method

  • Heat milk, sugar and oleo until oleo and sugar are dissolved. Sift together 3 c. flour, salt, baking powder, and soda.
  • Add dry yeast.
  • Add to warm milk mixture.
  • Beat all together well.
  • Then add rest of flour and mix well.
  • Refrigerate dough overnight in well greased bowl.
  • Roll out dough while you divide in half.
  • Brush with melted oleo.
  • Cut in size desired.
  • Fold over half.
  • Let rise until double, about 2 hrs. after placed in pan.
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.
