Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 large whole egg
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 3 Tbsp. cold water
  • small hunk butter, melted
  • little baking powder

Method

  • Beat the egg yolks and whole egg until well mixed.
  • Beat in cold water and salt.
  • Stir the flour in with a spoon.
  • The dough will be stiff, and you may have to knead in last of flour.
  • Divide dough in 3 parts.
  • Roll very thin, then cover with cloth until partially dry.
  • Roll up as for jelly roll, then slice with sharp knife.
  • Shake out strips; allow to dry before using.
