- 4 chicken breasts, skinned and boneless, sliced in 1/2-inch strips*
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 4 bacon slices, fried and chopped
- 4 oz. bamboo shoots
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 oz. Pernod wine
- 4 oz. peanut oil or sesame oil
- 4 oz. sugar
- 4 oz. chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch, diluted with 1/4 c. water
Method
- Heat oil and saute chicken strips with garlic for 5 minutes. Add all other ingredients, except cornstarch.
- Bring to a boil and add cornstarch to thicken.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over a bed of yellow rice.
