Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets-about 6 oz. each
  • 10 oz macadamia nuts
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

  • Combine macadamia nuts, soy sauce, garlic, hot sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, and black pepper in food processor; blend until mixture is the consistent paste.
  • Spoon a thick layer of the mixture on top of each tilapia fillet.
  • Place the fish macadamia mixture side up on prepared baking sheet.
  • Under the broiler, cook the fish until macadamia crust is golden brown and the tilapia flakes easily, about 15 minutes.
