Ingredients
- 2 c. macaroni
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- about 3/4 lb. Velveeta
Method
- Cook macaroni until tender, drain.
- Place in ungreased 2-quart or layer casserole.
- Make white sauce by melting butter.
- Don't scorch, melt over low heat, stirring in flour to make paste. Slowly add milk so not to lump, stirring constantly (turn off heat while you stir).
- Cut cheese into chunks and add to sauce.
- Cook over medium heat.
- Stir to keep from burning.
- Pour over macaroni. Bake at 350° to 375° for 45 minutes.
