Ingredients

  • 2 lb. eye of round or other lean roast
  • 2 large onions, quartered or sliced
  • 4 cloves chopped garlic
  • 6 medium sliced carrots
  • 3 large potatoes, cut up (about 2 lb.)
  • 1 can whole tomatoes (28 oz.)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Method

  • Place meat, onions,
  • garlic,
  • carrots
  • and
  • potatoes in large roasting pan.
  • Cover with canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire
  • sauce
  • and
  • stock.
  • Sprinkle
  • with pepper and basil. Cover and bake at 350° for 2 hours or until done.
