Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 2 c. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Method

  • In medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  • In large bowl, cream brown sugar, sugar, butter and vanilla.
  • Beat in egg whites.
  • Gradually beat in dry ingredients alternately with water. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
  • Bake in preheated 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
