Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 4 c. fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Method
- Stir together the first 4 ingredients.
- Gently add strawberries.
- Place in pie crust.
- Stir together remaining 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup sugar in a small bowl.
- Cut in butter or margarine until mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle over top of pie. Wrap edges of pie with foil.
- Bake at 400° in the center of the oven rack for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
