- 3 carrots - sliced
- 3 stalks celery - sliced
- 1/2 onion - sliced
- 4 cloves garlic - chopped
- 9 ounces frozen creamed spinach box of
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- olive oil Drizzle of
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 1 dash red pepper flakes
- 1 pound noodles your favorite
Method
- Heat a large frying pan with a tablespoon of butter and a drizzle of olive oil. Add the carrots, celery, onions and garlic. Saute until the onions are soft. Add the frozen spinach with the heat on low to soften.
- When the spinach is incorporated; add the chicken broth and simmer on low.
- Add the milk, parmesan cheese and the seasonings continue to simmer on low for a few minutes then set aside while preparing the noodles.
- Add the noodles to the spinach sauce. Garnish with grated cheese.
